Where did you get that top?

Backstory: This table was my family dinner table and when it got passed down to me it was stored in an extra bedroom. While it was in that bedroom it had a box sitting on it for months...that my cats decided it was a litter box and ruined the table top (which I happened to had just refinished a month prior). I didn't take any pics until after I frantically sanded the affected area.

The wood was ruined so it had to be painted.
After sanding it and wiping it clean I applied 3 coats of the darkest brown latex enamel paint Home Depot had (if anyone is really interested, I'll go dig up the can in the garage).

I also applied a poly-stain mix and it really worked well.
It added a wood grain affect.

  7. That is incredible. It's so much work to sand wood down like that, but so worth it. Great job.

  11. Good for you for fixing it up instead of painting it. The table is beautiful and I can't even tell anything was ever wrong.
